May day for yanks

As i write this i'm enjoying the yankees dismantling the rangers 9-0 in arlington. About thirty minutes after i write this, hughes leaves with leg problem. this is comical or what? A couple thoughts
1. Best thing for a team struggling is to go on the road and get away i think.
2. rangers pitching sux and ours actually doesn't tonight.
3. after the worst april i can remember in 15 years for yankees, i really had to check myself when i heard the following, 95% of teams 4 games or more under .500 after april have NOT made the playoffs. Yankees are 9-14 to end the month.

The yankees will not make playoffs this year, that's the bottom line. Unless the red sox compeltely fall apart with their pitchin we're done for sure. i havent thought the yankees weren't actually a playoff team until wathcin them this year.
They play with no heart at all. They ALL look like they're going through te motions. Big money and talent will get u far, but heart comes into play when the competition becomes it fierciest i really believ that. red sox, tigers, angels, indinas, white sox have talent and big hearts to match.

So to look on brightside I would luv to turn back to this page in a month and see how wrong i was. For fun, i will list some of their team stats and indiv stats i think are notable and we'll check back periodically to see how these trends play out.

Some stats-

Pitching- Yankees team 3rd worst in era AL, 3rd most BB, 2 least SO, Most appearances by a reliever
Not only are we given up hits, but walking people at an alarming rate
Batting- 1st in runs, 3 in OBP
Obviously offense has been as advertised
Individuals-
Arod- .415 obp, 14 Hr's- making all defensive plays, contract year?
Jeter- +.400 obp, .344 BA- fielding improving as month went on
Giambi- +.400 obp, 4 HR- started very slow coming on
Posada- .311 BA- been great
matsui- good to be back .371 obp
Cano- .270 and rising
abreu- 250 ba, couldnt have been worse
damon- 229- hurt early give him a month
1B- is an abyss, good defensively?

here's some good news when we don't make playoffs
1. we get to see the real arod..... i don't care either way but boras and him are already calculating what they can make in december.
2. Cashman and/or torre are gone which i think is due
3. All we draft/scout/free agent is pitchin from now on. bottom line. we have enough young hitting now to l;ast at least five years
4. maybe we can bring in a character guy to shake up this emotionless clubhouse.
5. Let's go get zambrano and another big-name free agent pitcher with abreu's money we will have extra and what a predict will be an arod'less team. That's 40 million a year in good starting pitchin, i like it
